Who We Are

About Us

My father first started playing for parties, in the 70’s using the name DJ Carter, playing Disco, Hip hop, R&B, Reggae, Soul and Soca music. This allowed him to play for all occasions; Birthdays, Parties, Weddings, Sweet Sixteen, and Office Occasions.

In the mid eighties his nephews Floyd, Alcapone and Mike joined him, and along with five friends Norris, Sam, Dk Culture, Ding and Ebo, they produced a successful yearly boat ride on July fourth for a few years. In 1989 things evolved and he changed his name to Storm Force (Sound). It became official when he went to Jamaica, where he met Clement Irie, who took him to Papa Jaro’s studio. The first dub plates were from Clement and Buju Banton and that was the birth of Daddy Storm’s Sound.

In the early nineties he hooked up with Love Star and Shashamane who became bona fide friends and combined to do a few dances. 1992 they were honored when Papa Jaro came to the Tri State area and played with them in a couple dances. Later his sons Dwight, Jason Jermaine And Daren, his brother Dennis and his other family members joined in.

MY FATHER IS THE SOLE OWNER, AND IT is with great delight to announce that the name Storm Force was legally trademarked. ALL UNOFFICIAL USAGE MUST CEASE IMMEDIATELY. Today Storm Force also provides rental of PA systems and other equipments for Disc Jockeys to use. It is very important to him, that even though you the clients are celebrating, we feel that your budget should not hinder you from having fun. Therefore to accommodate all, we are the group with your solutions.
